How the website, dashboard and extension remember your session and workspace.
Effective
On the website
Sumlino and its authentication provider use browser storage and session cookies where needed to sign you in, maintain security, and complete account flows. Hosting and security services may also process request metadata to deliver and protect the website.
The current public website does not use advertising cookies, cross-site advertising trackers, or marketing analytics. X and YouTube in the footer are links; they do not embed those services on the page. When you follow a link, the destination’s own policies apply.
Interactive examples use fictional information. Sample changes reset when the preview is refreshed and do not update a real account.
In the dashboard
The dashboard keeps display and privacy preferences in this browser’s storage: theme, sidebar, start page, hidden amounts, keyboard keys and which tips you have seen. They are not sent to Sumlino and are removed when you clear site data.
In the extension
Chrome extension storage holds settings and temporary state. IndexedDB holds unfinished voice drafts, including local audio. Client workspace content saved to your account is also stored on our backend; browser storage and cloud storage are separate.
Reconciliation decisions and preferences stay on the device. Temporary tab references support the current-client view. Local voice drafts remain until saved, discarded, or signed out, and can also be removed by clearing extension storage.
Your controls
You can manage cookies and website storage in your browser’s privacy settings, revoke microphone access in browser permissions, and change available helper and motion preferences in Sumlino Settings. Blocking sign-in storage may stop authentication from working.
Clearing local storage can erase unsaved drafts and settings. It does not delete your saved server workspace. To request that, use Data requests.
